Human Rights and Environment Development Center (HuRENDEC) is a leading non- profit making Non- Government Organization (NGO) registered in Kalikot district. Kalikot is a mountainous district of mid- western development region of Nepal lying in the southwest part of Karnali zone. It consists of 3 municipalities and 7 rural municipalities. Since its’ official establishment in 1996 (2053), HuRENDEC has been working on need-based action oriented multi-disciplinary areas through social mobilization especially focusing on Human Rights, Lobby and Advocacy for the rights of women, children and socially disadvantaged groups.

HURENDEC Nepal would like to invite qualified candidates for the following position.

Education Qualification

The consultant(s) should have the following academic qualification and experiences:

Master’s degree in Sociology, Development Studies, Economics, and Women/Gender Studies or related fields relevant to assignment.
10 years of working experience in the field of economic and labor market studies, private sector development, and investment.
5 years of work experience of labor market assessment/rapid market assessment
Significant working experiences in leading labor market research and skills assessments/job diagnostics
Significant and demonstrated experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative labour market and skills data collection and analysis
Experience of technical and vocational education in systems, especially classifications of occupations and skills
Experienced in youth in research and promoting their active participation including child friendly and gender-sensitive approaches. The consultant should be able to apply a gender lens in all steps of the research process.
Strong report writing skills in English.
