ILO would like to invite qualified candidates for the following position.

Education Qualification

  • First level university degree in economics, labour economics, public policies, sociology, and development studies or any other relevant field.

Experience:

  • At least two years of experience in multilateral project implementation and M&E plans, frameworks, and indicators.

Language:

  • Excellent command of  English and Nepali languages, both written and spoken. Working knowledge of other languages of the duty station would be an advantage.

Competencies:

  • Knowledge of programme and budget, project administration and evaluation concepts and procedures .
  • Knowledge of the office’s financial rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of result-based matrix.
  • Ability to prepare M&E reports. establish databases, manage and evaluate changes in the lives of beneficiaries, stakeholders and relevant institutions. mainstreaming and employment promotion is essential.
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in formulating new concepts and methodologies, training materials, alternative courses of action and project proposals.
  • Familiarity with programme integration concepts, gender mainstreaming and employment promotion is essential.
  • Ability to interpret project and programme information and identify and analyze problems with implementation
  • Good knowledge of the context and challenges for the project areas of expertise
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to justify requirements and approaches to problem resolution and good drafting skills
  • Good ability to interpret project information and to identify and analyze problems with implementation
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to clarify information
  • Demonstrate collaborative and team work experience and ability to work effectively with a multicultural and interdisciplinary team as well as work on his/her own initiative
  • Ability to work independently, quickly, precisely, and take initiative and responsibility
  • Ability to work under pressure and to meet the deadline
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, web-browsers and database applications
  • Ability to deal with people with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and to demonstrate gender-sensitive and non-discriminatory behaviour and attitudes.
  • Proficiency in word processing, excel and at least one statistical software package.
