United Mission to Nepal would like to invite qualified candidates for the following position.

  • Name Of Post = IT Engineer = Number of Vacancies = 01

Education Qualification

  • Bachelor degree in IT Engineering, Computer Engineering or a relevant course passed from a recognized institution.
  • Good understanding of IT systems, networking and web technologies.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in problem-solving.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Understanding virtual networks.
  • Understanding virtual hosting (e.g. Xenserver, VMware).
    Understanding SQL databases.
  • Experience of software development using Django (Python) and React (JavaScript).

Main duties:

  • Work in the IT team and Technology department.
  • Work with other teams to ensure software and hardware systems are designed to support the vision and mission of the hospital.
  • Set up, maintain and troubleshoot networking — including DHCP, VLANs, managed switches, routers and firewalls.
  • Linux server administration (especially Ubuntu).
  • Implement and manage VOIP (Voice over IP) infrastructure including AT As.
  • Integrate software with existing internal and external (including Nepal Government) systems.
  • Maintain and update in-house software systems.
  • Stay up to date on trends and technologies in order to ensure the organization is taking advantage of the most current technology.
