Education Qualification

Technical Advisor – Capacity Building Post

Bachelor or Master of Pharmacy with 4 years of experience in relevant field

Required:

  • At least four years of relevant experience in areas of pharmaceuticals, medicines management, quality assurance, regulation and hands on experience in capacity building and training implementation
  • Considerable experience in the development of training material, organizing and implementing training events and experienced in the use of various capacity building methods and approaches.
  • Excellent writing skills and experience in facilitation and motivation

Preferred:

  • Specialized training and/or practical experience in conducting capacity assessments, and formulating capacity building strategy, plan and their implementation.
  • Specialized experience and knowledge of the registration of medical products and medicine management (quality assurance, good pharmacy practices & supply chain).
  • Experience working in/with national medicine regulatory agency e.g., the DDA.
  • Experience working with management information systems

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Understanding of pharmaceutical legal and regulatory systems and situations in Nepal.
  • Knowledge about functions of a medicines regulation
  • Strong people skills with the ability to develop others and to impart knowledge and experience in clear and respectful manner according to the stakeholder needs.
  • Mentoring, training and coaching abilities.
  • Ability to design and conduct knowledge & skill-building workshops and trainings. Facilitation and training skills.
  • Strong networking, collaboration and advocacy skills.
  • Strong analytical and research skills preferred.
  • Ability to write and prepare training reports, training materials, documents and presentations. The TA-CAP must be strong and experienced in development of training material, implementing training and assessing impact.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Nepali are essential.
  • Demonstrated intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Driver Post

  • SLC/SEE or equivalent.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EXPEREINCE

  • Minimum 5 years of driving experience
  • Applicants with experience of driving with USAID/UN projects will be preferred
  • Good English conversant applicant will be preferred;
  • Valid driver’s license

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Knowledge of traffic rules and regulations and safety issues;
  • Knowledge of minor vehicle repairs, identification of mechanical & electrical troubles and ability to lift heavy loads;
  • Knowledge of understanding of Nepal Highway Code Traffic Rules, Regulations;
  • Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance procedures;
  • Knowledge of dealing effectively and patiently with others;
  • Knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems.
  • Familiarity with GPS devices;
  • Polite and professional disposition

Principal Technical Advisor – Good -X – Practices Post

Required: Minimum Graduate degree in a pharmacy and experience relating to Pharmaceutical Systems and Regulatory Affairs

Preferred: Inspector or pharmacists with experience in implementation of good pharmacy practices, distribution practices and/ or manufacturing practices and inspections and quality assurance.

The PTA GXP should preferably have good understanding of survey design, data collection, indicators, data analysis and reporting

Required:

  • At least ten years of relevant experience in areas of medicines management (supply chain, logistic management, dispensing and use), pharmaceutical inspection. At least 4 of training experience and demonstrated engagement with relevant regional and international bodies and associations.

Preferred:

  • Experienced in the use of various training and capacity building methods and approaches.
  • Experience in supervision, facilitation and motivation
  • Experience with indicator-based tools, data collection and analysis
  • Planning and organisational experience
  • Working with government institutions

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Significant relevant experience in pharmaceutical systems especially in one or more of the areas of pharmaceutical policy, medicines control and regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, medicines selection and health technology assessments in the context of developing countries is required.
  • Relevant experience in international public health with experience in pharmaceutical services and systems strengthening strongly preferred.
  • Strong people skills with the ability to develop others and to impart knowledge and experience in clear and respectful manner according to the stakeholder needs.
